The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Training and Compliance Manager to join our team based at Waikato Hospital. 

This role reports directly to Operations Manager and is responsible for providing support to our on site management teams of Cleaning Staff, Supervisors, and the Key Account Manager to improve the quality of services to our client.

This is a permanent full time (40 hours per week) hands on role, and would suit someone who has experience in developing and maintaining task competency assessment program's, quality system auditing, and managing health and safety requirements.

While this would preferably come from a health environment or facilities management / cleaning services background, this is not essential.

 Key tasks associated with the role are:

  • Developing, maintaining and improving a competency assessment program.
  • Overseeing and supporting managers with our audit functions.
  • Undertaking the organisation, and training component for new and existing staff.
  • Enable frontline Placemaker training to fit the operational needs, and client expectations.
  • Ensuring that ISS local health and safety obligations are met.

Profile:

  • Proven experience of developing procedures and delivering cleaning standards.
  • A leadership role in a cleaning services environment is desirable.
  • Managing a team of employees within a cleaning environment is desirable.
  • Previous experience of using commercial and industrial cleaning equipment is preferred.
  • Having knowledge and can demonstrate the principles and procedures of workplace health and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written, proven organisational skills.
  • Work with urgency, is solutions focused and has good eye for detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Holding a relevant tertiary qualification or related recognized professional cleaning qualification would be an advantage
  • Must be able to interact with a variety of people including cleaning staff, Supervisors, Managers and clients.
