Are you ready to lead technical excellence at the forefront of Australia’s telecommunications infrastructure? ISS Facility Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Operations Manager to oversee critical systems and drive innovation in a high-stakes environment.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work on-site at one of Australia’s most vital telecommunications hubs, where you’ll be responsible for the technical direction and operational performance of critical assets. You’ll lead the BMS team, support facilities management, and ensure seamless incident and problem management across complex systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational compliance, contractor performance, and risk mitigation across a 24/7 mission-critical environment.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic technical leadership across critical infrastructure operations

  • Manage and mentor the Building Management System (BMS) team

  • Oversee and improve BMS and CMMS performance and integration

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in technical operations

  • Lead incident and problem management processes with precision and urgency

  • Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to support site-wide operational goals 

  • Identify operational risks and propose mitigation strategies to ISS and client stakeholders

  • Foster strong relationships with client representatives and ensure service delivery excellence

What You Bring

  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)

  • Proven experience in technical operations within telecommunications, data centers, or critical infrastructure

  • Hands-on expertise with Building Management Systems (BMS) and CMMS platforms

  • Strong background in incident and problem management

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments

  • Excellent contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills

  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to operational excellence
